I wonder, of course, what "...not integrated with its services..."  actually means. Two contributors to AVS have the GX-530CF up and running on Cox systems (one with SDV DTA.) Plus, Samsung states in the article "Samsung noted that the Smart Media Player supports content from major cable providers. As long as the cable company uses CableCard technology, the box will be compatible, a Samsung spokesman said. Customers can rent a CableCard from their cable provider and insert it into the device, providing access to local channels and content." I think the question is whether the device is UDCP or OCAP or what. I think that might be the reason for Cox's somewhat vague reply.

Maybe there talking about DLNA/DTCP-IP and perhaps its like eSATA where it works, sometimes, but if it doesn't, they don't support it? See this thread which posted around same time and is relevant/interesting. 

What I read from that was that TWC is working with samsung to allow an app for the cable company's VOD (since it is a STB replacement) ... Cox on the other hand won't allow such an app integrated into their services. (years ago it was announced  such a feature as coming soon for tivo but never materialized).  As far as TAs and cablecards go, everything should just work together as the standards for those have been set for years (yes there may be some growing pains that may require the device to have firmware updates to resolve issues but as a single tuner, there should be few problems).

I believe that's a different problem entirely. The manual for the GX-SM530CF describes the CableCard and SDV issues on page 15 of the manual:

As mentioned by signcarver, I think TWC is "working with" Samsung on a different SDV solution.
