recording on demand to dvd
I have actually been recording on demand to dvd for the last 10 years with no problem. I did not know there were copywrite problems, since copyright laws allow recording for home use.
It was just this April, (2015) that it became a problem - picture changing brightness, etc. Clearly, despite what cox is saying, something happened recently.
Someone there probably knows. I don't know if they will share with us customers.

I've asked our Video Administrators about this and have been advised that we have not made any changes. I'm thinking it might be a copy flag embedded in the metadata file by the broadcaster. I'd like to see what else I can find out. Can you provide examples of the broadcast station and content title where you've seen this happen? Particularly recently so I can have the metadata verified.
