QOS for Netgear CG3000D Make and Model: DN3000D ?

Is there a way to add QOS service to the router/wireless/modem? Netgear CG3000D Make and Model: DN3000D I have Netflix and would like to limit the speed that Netflix downloads in HD. is there a way to add that to my Netgear CG3000D Make and Model: DN3000D? thanks.

Netgear CG3000D doesn't seem to have any bandwidth capping or QoS of any kind. You can adjust Netflix downloads under your Netflix settings though.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that will only render Netflix to SD instead of HD.

It controls the bit rate, which controls the speed at which it downloads and total size of file. I don't think you can control the speed and not have it effect bit rate, even with QoS.

So there is no way of adding QOS in the Router/modem to control which IP gets the most of the band width?  What I want is to limit/cap the download bandwidth for the ip of the device/pc/mac.

thanks.

No, there is no way of doing that. Not only does the router not have the ability, but there is no way of using QoS in that way. QoS, or quality of service is for adding latency tags to certain kinds of traffic. So you could control that netflix got priority in a bandwidtth saturation without it capping the amount it could download. Thats more of a bandwidth control/monitor then QoS.The gateway doesn't have either though.
