Premier Speeds

I have been a premier customer for some time now.  I have consistently only had 15-25 Mbps up and down.  This weekend I upgraded from an old DOCSIS 1 to the Netgear CG3000D from Cox.  I had to pay for the unit/upgrade even though it was supposed to be free via my phone call to Cox when ordered..  It was provisioned and is working properly, but there is no difference in speedtests via Cox internet tools.  This is a direct wired connection to the unit.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thx.

BAM!

Premier is the only level of internet where there's a service code that needs to be swapped at the same time as the equipment, and it's not automatic. Second one I've fixed today. I'll figure out who to yell at later, but you should be all set.

I just got "Premiere" as well. When it was installed, I told the installer I was only getting 20-25mb downloads, uploads up to 35mb. He said he can't do anything about that. I can only get above 25mb when connected to the official Cox test server. As that traffic can be given priority, it's unreliable at best. When I test to local servers, it runs 20-25mb, uploads are usually faster. Video downloads are slow as well, same as when I had 10mb Centurylink, or slower.

I am also a Premier subscriber but I have never been over 30Mbps occasionally I hit 30. Just ran a few tests with PC plugged directly into the modem, no change.  I did just upgrade from DOCSIS2 to a DOCSIS3 (DPQ3212). Does this look right and can someone check to see if service code is correct for DOCSIS3 and Premier like you have for a few others? Thanks for your time

I have Premier and my mbps has been 5 down 5 up mbps . I upgraded to n 600 netgear router and sb6121 motorola modem . I had a very friendly cox service guy show up he checked everything and the best I could get was 21 up 7 down mbps . 24 hours latter and I can't get over 7 up mbps and 5 down . Reset everything ... still nothing . wired or wireless . I also switched out ethernet cord with brand new one trying anything to make better . Cox says everything is strong but muti test on multi speed test tools shows same dl speed and upload speed =(

We have a tech coming out friday, but i was just researching our speed issue bc every time we call its another "reason" as to why its only at 32mpbs max. It was hardwire to the modem on the cox speed test site with a new SB6141 today. I see a lot about a code needing to be updated. Can this be checked for us before the tech comes to eliminate anther possibility of a "cause". Thank you.

You did need your service code corrected. I also updated the modem firmware just in case. Check the speed again and let us know how it goes.

Hi KatDiesel

I have updated your service code. Please let us know if the issue persists.

That made a world of difference, basically doubled my speed. Thank you very much!

Can you guys check this for me as well please?  I'm getting exactly 30 mbit after buying to a Docsys3 modem and upgrading to Premier.
