premier account but only getting preferred speeds

I am paying for a premier account but only getting preferred speeds. I recently upgraded my modem to a Docsis 3 Motorola SB6141. From reading the forums KipK posted a solution stating that a new provisioning code needs to be sent to my modem to get the speeds i am paying for. I contacted support via chat this morning and was told that a new code would be sent to my modem, but it has been several hours and i am still only getting preferred speeds. Please help,

I am having the same issue.  Installed the modem yesterday.  I may switch back to old modem.

Hi Sma,

You can reconnect your old modem at any time; you would just need to let us know so that we can reactivate it. However, in order to take full advantage of your speed, we recommend using a DOCSIS 3.0. Have you performed a speed test to determine what speeds you are getting? If so, are you directly connected to the modem or wireless when you run the test?

Could you try without the router to see if there is any difference?  It might also be useful to see if you get good speeds in-network.  We have a speed test tool available when you sign into your cox.com account.
