Poor internet connection...

Hi! We just transferred our service to a new home only a few miles away from our previous home. I had great connection in my previous home, but now in this home I am constantly kicked off the network and can't complete my work. When I look at my wireless connection, it states the speed is 300 Mbps, so this doesn't make any sense. How can I get back to the performance I used to have previously? Thanks! Erika P.S.
