Outlook does not receive email but was working 2 days ago

I am unable to receive my Cox emails into my Outlook.  The process just hangs and eventually times out.  I am able to receive my Yahoo and Gmail mail.

I am able to login into my Cox webmail and view my emails.

I was receiving Cox emails into my Outlook up until yesterday and I am still able to send emails.

When Outlook goes to retrieve my Cox email, it hangs and the these 2 lines repeat every 5 minutes or so:

Checking for new mail in subrscribed folders on imap.cox.net.

imap.cox.net: Folder:Inbox Check for new mail.

The task that Outlooks is trying to do where it hangs says:

imap.cox.net: Folder:Inbox Fetching new headers.

My Outlook imap settings are:

Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.cox.net

Server Port Numbers: Incoming Server (IMAP): 993

SSL is checked.

Cox tech support is saying that the problem is with Microsoft even though I am getting both my Yahoo and Gmail emails.

Thoughts?

Try logging into webmail and seeing if you have alot of folders or alot of email in folders.

Also, what mode is your outlook in? IMO or CW?

@Outlook problems - receiving and sending mail

I made some changes to your email account on this end.  Let us know if you're still seeing any problems.

I just checked my email on my PC/outlook and now my email does not hang when receiving emails from Cox IMAP.

Thanks!!!!!!

What did you do to fix this? I was told by Cox technical support that because I could read my email on the Webmail page, that the problem was with Microsoft Outlook and NOT Cox (although my other IMAP email from Yahoo and Gmail had no problems).

@Outlook problems - receiving and sending mail

Glad to hear it's better now.  I made some changes to your account on our end of the nature that won't likely have to be repeated.
