I ordered the premier internet plan 2 days ago and it was fully activated today. My issue is that I'm not getting the download speed even close to 50 Mbps, the highest I got was 2500 Kbps and was for a couple seconds. Right now I'm normally getting between 150 Kbps and 1 Mbps, that's the speed I was getting with Uverse which is a lot cheaper.
I have a way higher upload speed than download speed .

What was the speed when it was installed? Or was it a self install? Or was it a upgraded? If so, from what?
What are you signal levels? Can usually find them at 192.168,100.1. Can give specifics once I know your modem.
Therefor, what kind of modem and are you connecting directly to it?

Ouch. Low end gateway, and its difficult to troubleshoot since you can't isolate issues with the network part from the modem part. Are you a casual user or looking for something a little more high end? If so, might want to return the CG3000D for a stand alone modem, like the SB6141 and buy your own router. If nothing else it would allow you to connect the modem directly to the drop (cable where it enters house) and isolate it to a Cox issue. Since its a self install that might be important for ammo to avoid the professional install fee if a technician is needed.
Your upstream power level looks a little low. Not that its bad, just unusual. Anything note worthy about where you live? Long wire from pole to house? Do you maybe live out in the country? I might be barking up the wrong tree, but might be something. Everything else looks good. All 8 channels and signal levels within spec.
Looks like the correct Config file at least; Premier. Not sure whats causing the issue so far. Hopefully additional data will assist or maybe one of the moderators might have a better idea.

I don't understand. But the test you just posted shows a download speed of 58Mbps and upload of 23Mbps. I also notice the latency is a good 10ms less then the first test. So if it happens again, a tracert may show why. But for right now..doesn't the test above show its working?

Edgar, My service in Az. is/looks identical to yours, same router, config. premier service. I've run so many speedtests (from COX & also Speedtest.com), all usually with very low dl speeds & exceptionally high (usually 2x+ the 10G) ul. Req. of service yeilded a service charge (I refuse to pay, facing service interuption) and network card/computer blame, went so far as to blame my HD ant. feeding my TV. There is on way to prove (to yourself) where the problem is but COX would disapprove, simply disconnect cable from router/modem or wall, using a cable ready TV connect lenght of coax (*no splitters*) to wall & TV program TV -cable, if you recieve cable channels clearly, you have good signal, it's the router, if some snowy or no channels... well that picture is clear where the problem is. make sure to reconnect everything back to it's current state directy to avoid any issues. Pretty much after 2mths I've reconfirmed my opinion of over 15 yrs, it's all in the company name. Granted it's just my opinion, maybe thay really do want happy customers.

Your advice to connect the cable wire to a TV is clever, but not very accurate. You would be better getting the signal levels direct from the modem's diagnostics. There are many situations where TV channels will come in fine, and you can still have internet problems.
Where you currently having a issue or was the story for conversational purposes only? The OP had a issue but as per their last post, performance was back to normal. So if your having a issue, might want to make a new thread.
