Can you be more specific? What is giving the error message? You posted in the internet forum, so is the box your modem? Cable box? Router? What do you mean by "3 out of 5 pipes"?

A blind google check looks like its a SDV error. If so, there is no way to "fix it" other then changing the channel and going back to that channel. If that is not working, then there is a signal problem for that channel. Will be able to say for sure once I get more info.

::Edit:: Source for error, see page 131 of Contour manual.

Whenever I turn on the main TV attached to the whole house DVR, I get the code. So I have change channels and go back to watch the desired channel. On top of that the other boxes in the house cannot pause what they are watching otherwise they freeze. All boxes 4 in house total have to be unplugged every few days to work.

Along with TV issues, Internet drops connection running thru Apple Airport or Ethernet cable straight from modem.

So  a variety of issues here.

Sounds like your just turning off the TV, and not the box? If so, the box will still be tuned to the channel, and will timeout after a certian period. The reason the system is in place is so if no one is watching the channel in your area, they can stop broadcasting it and conserve bandwidth space for other channels. No way to "fix" or turn off that feature, but simply turning off the box when your not using it should stop the error.

That sounds like a issue with the cable signal between the boxes. Were the DVR proffesionaly installed? Is it all RG6 Quad shield cabling in your house?

Probably what ever signal problem is causing the tiling between the boxes is causing the modem to lose sync. What are your modem's signal levels? Should be able to find them on 192.168.100.1.
