I am in Las Vegas and I want to know why NHL Center Ice HD is not available.
If the answer is there is nowhere to put them in the HD spectrum then why do we need 40-some "HD" music choice channels when the same channels are already in standard and they appear to sound exactly the same.

That question has a somewhat more complex answer than you might expect.
First, the HD Music Choice channels, while they do have higher audio quality and graphics, still take up much less bandwidth than regular TV channels.
Second, Las Vegas was one of our last areas to implement Switched Digital Video, which hugely increases the available channel capacity. SDV didn't launch in Vegas until July 2013, while we've had it in other markets as early as 2009-2010.
The additional channels are definitely on the way, though I can never give an ETA on such things.

Thanks for the reply.
Kind of sad that you are two years behind Central Florida where i had it in HD.
The result is that I will not be subscribing and will watch on the web.
