New Tivo Roamio replacing a TivoHD - getting sporadic "Channel not Available" message
Hi,
I recently purchased a new Tivo Roamio plus. I have been using a Tivo HD successfully for the last 5 years that I've been a Cox customer with no issues. It has a Motorola cable card and tuning adapter. Since I switched to the Roamio on Thursday of last week however, I've been periodically getting a "channel not available" message. It started last night and has been happening sporadically all day today and usually persists unless the Tivo or tuning adapter is rebooted. Sometimes that will resolve it for hours, other times the problem will come back shortly. I've done some research and the issue seems to be pointing to the tuning adapter and the newer Roamio not playing nice?
I'm planning on calling Tivo about the issue as well but since I've seen reports of this happening to others, I don't think it's a defective Tivo.
I don't have versions of anything in front of me because I'm at work at the moment (just been getting texts from my wife about the issue) but I'll update my post when I get home.
I think it's worth noting that the tuning adapter has a solid orange light but a flashing red one. Not sure what that means.
