I'm trying to do some planning for hosting March Madness in my basement. I have 4 DCX3200-M boxes hooked up to 4 different tv's in my basement. Unfortunately, right now when I use a remote to change the channel, it changes it on all of the boxes. Is there any way for me to set the boxes up so that I can control each one independently?

Short answer: Can't.
You will need some sort of IR repeater or use the IR input on the back. But to be honest I don't know enough on the subject to make suggestions. I tried looking through Newegg and Amazon, and just ended up getting confused. Anyone have experience?
This could be a good place to start.

Back in the '80s, I had two identical VCRs that presented the same dilemma. I used old linear polarizing filters from my photography days. I put a vertical polarization filter in front of one VCR's IR sensor, and a horizontal polarization filter in front of the other. Then, simply turning the remote in a vertical or horizontal position determined which VCR got the command. It worked well most of the time.
