Minibox guide channels

I recently set up my grandmother's minibox for her and helped her learn to use the guide. She has the very most basic television package, so she only receives maybe 15 channels. 

Her minibox guide displays EVERY channel cox offers that she does not receive in her package. 

Instead of being able to only see the channels she pays for, she has to scroll and scroll for days to find her programming. Why can't I set the minibox guide to ONLY show channels she actually receives? I even called customer service and was told that is not an option for miniboxes, only the bigger, contour boxes. My 68 year old grandmother doesn't need to pay another $10USD a month because miniboxes are unable to work properly. 

If you are going to FORCE people into something they don't want, at least make it easier to use. 

For now, I am handwriting a list of all the channels she receives. AT&T uverse will be available for her soon, and it's getting hard to talk her into keeping cox for her services.
