IR Remote Extender

I have not had any success in getting a NextGen IR Remote Extender to work with a Cox (Cisco) STB model GSH9862. I have tried all options suggested by NextGen. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't find anything online for GSH9862 or 9862HDC. Do you mean 9865HDC?
