Internet/Router/Wireless HD

ok so i've got cox internet at home....and have had no probelms...just the usual fast and/or slow periods at night..

anyways, i'd like to add an external usb powered drive (1.5TB) and hear that I can attach it to the back of the router/modem.    then eventually be able to access the hard drive wireless from my laptop.....

is it that 'simple' to get this to work?   hellllllllp!!

What kind of router do you have? Look for the model number somewhere on a sticker on the router.

The gateway devices we provide don't have the USB host port enabled so this wouldn't work in that case.  Retail devices would likely have the host port enabled however if you haven't gone shopping yet another alternative is one of the WD MyBook Live models which use Ethernet connectivity.  They'll work without the need for USB connectivity.
