Internet

I changed internet services from LUSFIBER to COX and I can not open my screen. It says

JAMES CARRUTH

james.carruth@lusfiber.net

ask for a pass word.

I have tried everything evenentered a reset password from Microsoft. My account is closed with LUSFIBER and they offer no help. Do I need to switck service back to LUSFIBER because the level 2 techs at COX have no answers.when I put in any password it says go tp accounts/live bla, bla. Any idea. Please. jamescarruthpa@cox.net

Hi James, are you talking about when you try to access the internet? Or when you start up your computer? Do you have any other devices in the home that are able to connect to the internet?

Does "screen" mean browser?  Is the homepage of your browser set to LUSFIBER?  And when you launch your browser, it tries to login to your previous account?  If so, change your homepage to something else, such as cox.com.

I'm unsure what you use for a browser...maybe Internet Explorer if you're getting a Windows Logon dialog box...but you probably bookmarked your Homepage with a link within your LUSFIBER account.  Every time you launch your browser, the LUSFIBER website prompts you to logon to your account.

Did anyone else read LUSFIBER as Lucifer at first glance? Heh, you moved from one ISP innuendo to another.

Are you trying to access the email program for lusfiber.net email address? If so, you might not have it anymore. Usually you have to pay a company to use their email service. There are some exceptions but only LUSFIBER would know the exceptions to their systems. You get cox.net email with Cox, so you would need to change the settings to that email address and Cox's email server settings. Do you have a Cox email? Do you want one? If so, what email program are you using?
