This happens on both wireless and Ethernet connections. This happens of my kindle, my Samsung phone, even our wireless printer has failed when we try to print something off the internet. We have had the router replaced twice, the router moved from the TV room to the computer room, about 20 feet away. The router was placed next to the TV at the recommendation of the COX tech. Then the next tech said they only tested over an Ethernet connection, if that worked then everything was good. So we had the router moved and the PC physically connected. Also both TVs pixilate on a regular basis, We have been a COX customer for almost 15 years and have never had this problem before. Since we have moved into our new house we have had noting but problems. (over a year)
The systems seem to hang and after 15 - 30 seconds it is good again, until the next time. This happens 6 - 7 times a day.
When the techs came to the house they saw nothing wrong within or outside the house. We have been in IT for over 30 years and the last time I had this much trouble was when Ethernet first came out.

Hello jimk_schnauzer,
Does this happen at certain times of the day/night? What channels are exhibiting this issue?
Thanks,
Allan - Cox Support Forums Moderator.

Sounds like low signal levels. What kind of modem do you have? Can you post the signal levels? Can usually find them on the modems 192.168.100.1 webpage.

Not at a particular time. We see it on the golf channel, diamondbacks baseball (day or night), HBO etc. The IPAD, Kindle, and Samsung phone all hang as well when they are on WIFI. I have taken the phone and IPAD off WIFI for now.

On each of the PC and the printer we have seen the message that the "Internet has stopped working" or "is not available"
