Internet Connection "Hiccups" While Using the Internet
I've been getting connection hiccups while I've been on the internet today. Every 30 or so minutes my internet disconnects and then reconnects after about 5-10 seconds. This is getting really annoying. Also, the lights on my Gateway don't turn off at all during the disconnects. I'm not even sure how to look at my gateway router/modem's logs, so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi ksguy1982,
I'm sure those brief interruptions can be annoying, especially if you are streaming video or playing a game. You mentioned you have a gateway device, are you plugged into it with an ethernet cable or are you using a wireless connection? Do the disconnects happen on more than one device? If you are using wireless I would recommend connecting directly with an ethernet cable, this would help pinpoint if it is an issue with the wireless connection or not.

I'm plugged into it with an ethernet cable, and I haven't checked to see if the hiccups happen on more than just this desktop I'm using. It has to be the internet connection as when the hiccups occur, it happens on any online program I am using (specifically speaking, while on Mumble and while playing an online game at the same time, they both disconnect at the same time).
