I upgraded my internet with new modem 150mbps
Its slower then before. I get maybe 5 to 10 mbps now

I took a look at everything from this end and all appears well up to the modem itself. Do you have a PC with a gigabit Ethernet connection you can try plugging directly into the modem and testing your speeds with?

yes i have gigabit ethernet connected. When i got off work today the download speed is great 150+
an hour later it goes down to 10 for a few. then it goes back up 40.
My upload speed has been great, even when my download speed was at 5 or less.
Right now my download speed is 26.

Could you try signing into your http://www.cox.com account and getting a few test results both with the wired and wireless connections?

I went to cox internet tools and tried the speed test. It gives me Latency test Error.
I went to cox.com/activate and it says my modem model DAR246P is active, but that's not my modem.
i click reset my modem and that doesn't work

what modem do you have? I have a netgear cm600 and ncox drops the netgear off in the modem area of the online account
I'd call cox and make sure the have the right modem listed on your account

Hi Wholekernel,
"DAR246P" is our internal model number of the Arris DG2460 Dual Band WiFi Modem, found HERE. Is this not the modem you installed at the end of December?

Its a Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller speed 1.0 Gbps.

It's possible you've got an Ethernet problem if your device is gigabit capable but not establishing a gigabit link. You can try updating the drivers or try connecting another gigiabit Ethernet device and see if it links correctly.

Last night i had 150mbps up until around 10:00am today. It went back down to 5mbps. upload is 12.
On WiFi I getting 3mbps. upload is 11.
It was nice while it lasted. It comes and goes.
