I Added Service But Still Can't View Channels

I added a TV pak yesterday and the sales person told me I would be able to view the additional channels almost right away and at the longest it would take 4 hours. It has been 19 hours and they still say a 'subscription is required to view this channel'. I get that it is the weekend and I added the new pak at 2 PM PST on a Friday, so when should I really expect to be able to view ID, Science, H2, so on? Thanks.

It's possible the boxes simply didn't reset correctly when the options were added.  I'd suggest disconnecting power to the box for two minutes and reconnecting to see if a reset helps.

Thanks. I only have a cable card in a PC that runs WMC and shares the signal through XBOX. I will reboot and see if that makes any difference.

are you using a ceton tuner? or is it a different one? if it is a ceton one you may want to use the ceton diagnostic tool to make sure your card is talking back to cox, I can't remember for sure, But I believe that cox has a dedicated cablecard number I don't know if it up to date but try these 1-877-820-8202 or 1-888-556-1193, also see if your area is using SDV and if you need a tuning adapter my media center specs: infinitv4 cable card xbox360 as media center extender

Thanks, I am using a Ceton card the PCIe 4 tuner card. So I am at day four now and the channels worked for about half a day. The Ceton dignostics say that everything works execpt being able to actually tune to the channel. WMC tells me I need a subscription. Every time I have to go through this ** with these COX idiots who can't seem to pull their head out of their **** and make thier own *** work. But their billing works great, so great in fact they recently raised their rates. What **** hats, we are going to charge more but we can't even provide a stable service. When will the monopoly on TV end? Never. **** hats. I should not have to put in this much work to make THIER service work. I should bill them for my time and labor. Now I get to call in to COX instead of sitting down and eating my breakfast I get to make their *** work instead of them doing it. If you look at my posts prior to this it is the same problem but just getting the original cable to work with the Ceton card. **** hats.
