How to watch DVR'd programs using the Contour app on iPad or other device

There is an "answered" question about whether DVR'd programs can be watched using the App. That question is from several years ago. At that time, the Cox rep answered that no, that is not possible but that they were working on adding that capability. I just chatted with TV support and they tell me that the capability still does not exist. Is there any way to check to see whether that is a planned addition to the app? Sure would be nice to be able to watch shows I have DVR'd without having to be at home. Seems like a pretty basic capability for these types of apps. You can set a recording via the app, but then can't watch it.
