How do you establish an additional cox email address?

Tried following instructions noted in support but wants an email address that is not cox for recovery. So how do you establish a new cox email address?

Hi Moe, login using your primary Cox user id, then click on My Connection, then Internet Tools. Under the Account Management column, choose Manage Email Addresses. Click on the link to Add new email addresses.
