I can tell you that the seasonal deal is fine ,however, you can not send email while on it just receive.
I changed my service in Oct 2012 at that time I was paying 39.99 to Oct 1 then it went to $44 Nov it went to $52 then it went seasonal for the rest of the time.. I restarted it in May2013 went to $72 now it is $56 A $16 raise is hard to take.
I am shopping

Actually, you will be able to send as long as the email program you use is configured with our secure SMTP settings and not the regular insecure port 25, authenticated with the correct username and password, and the ISP you're using isn't blocking port 587 or 465 (otherwise you'll have to use the SMTP server settings of whatever ISP you're on at the time). Sending will also work if you use Webmail with a Seasonal account.
Sounds like you were on some kind of promotional rate before it was on Seasonal, since Preferred would normally have gone from $52.99 to $56.99. If you'd like to email us at coxhelp@cox.com with your information, we can have a specialist review your account and see if there are any current promotions you qualify for.
