Having trouble connecting my ipad to my wifi

I have my modem hooked up and my main computer also works, however, I can not seem to get my ipad to connect.  When the tech was out to set up the system, he got my main computer, laptop and ipad to connect..  

My ipad will just continue to load, but not actually connect.

What modem/gateway do you have? A model number should be printed on it somewhere? Do you have a router? You need wifi for a Ipad to connect.
