Has anyone else had this issue with Cox Home Security?

I recently had a new Cox Home Security system installed in my home.  The system seems state of the art and very easy to use.  Unfortunately, 3 days after the installation one of the sensors fell off very early in the morning while the system was armed.  This caused the alarm to go off and scared my family in the home.  When the police arrived they realized that the sensor had fallen off and classified it as a false alarm.  I am concerned if anyone else may be having this issue.  I had ADT in the past and nothing like this has ever happened.  I switched to cox and for such an expensive state of the art system this seems kind of like a ridiculous thing to happen.  If other people are having sensors just fall off I would not be very confident in this system.  Thank you for you feedback.

Which sensor? Do you think it was a installation issue or a product defect?

It was a door/window sensor.  All sensors were installed a few days ago and I have over a dozen sensors which is why I am concerned for the others.  The equipment itself is intact it just simply fell off which tripped the alarm.

It sounds like we may need to get somebody back out to check everything again and make sure there aren't other problems going on.  If you need any help arranging a service call let me know and I'll see what I can do.

A service tech is supposed to come out today.  I am just hoping that this is not a recurring issue with the alarm sensors.

I can say that this is the first report I've personally heard of anything like this happening.  Based on that I'm confident this is an isolated incident that can be easily remedied.
