Hello
I recently just got cox internet 100/10 in NoVA around dulles airport
So far on the first couple of days the download has been really slow, after a call and some chat support, manage to get speed up to about 100. only during the morning hours and afternoon, but as soon as 430 to about 5 pm hits, downloads becomes a nightmare. sometimes i cant even get web pages to load, they time out. and this last till about 1 am. upload never gets clogged up just download.
I have talked to 2 people on chat support and 1 on the phone, they both said they recommend a tech to come out, but all the tech appointment can be made during the none problem hours, no point them coming out and finding nothing.
I have tested it with going through the router and connecting straight to the modem, still get the same results. tests are done on speedtest.net and cox's own speed test.

Are those signal readings taken during a time you were having the problem?
When the upload slows down, any packetloss? Speedtest.net is a good way of finding out. Just make sure to have your Java updated. Overall, your signal levels look spot on. Either it's not something signal related, or your signal levels change when you have the problem.

upload is always above 10 mbps, no packet loss doing pingtest.net or speedtest.net. reading on the modem is the same regardless of time of day. im no expert in the subject, but in my opinion either the hub for the complex i live in or the building gets overloaded when people comes home, i mean it could be the entire area, just dont know

Currently im using wired thro the router, but for the last couple of days i been switching from direct to modem and router, and there is no difference. I mean as of 1026AM EST, im getting 100+ mbps, but around 5pm thatll turn into about 2-5mbps

This a speed test done connected directly at the modem at 945 pm. this speed would not go over 7 mbps till about 1 am, then i get my full speed.

so someone did come to my apt and did all the test. (all my signals are great) and he told me that due to the fact that there are too many people in my complex that use the same node, slow downs are unavoidable, so basically until cox decide to come out here and lay another line out the neighborhood its gonna be slow. So please for the love of god DO something, im pretty sure alot of other people here are having the same issue
