I was told by a rep at the COX store that a TV with DVR would not require the mini-box. I forgot to ask how I could verify that my non-Cox supplied DVR would be OK

What is the Make and Model of the non-Cox supplied DVR.
If it has a CableCARD and Tuning Adapter you do not need the Mini box.
If it Does NOT have a CableCARD you WILL need a Mini box, but good luck finding an IR Blaster code for the Cox Mini box.
