E-mail setup on android phone

I am trying to have my cox e-mail sent to my phone (LG G3). I followed the instructions from Cox for automatic and manual set up but keep getting "log in information incorrect" but I know I am entering the information correctly. I do have to enter a zip code in order to access my e-mail from my computer (I just saw a post re a log in for Cleveland that is supposed to cure this). I am wondering if the need to enter the zip code is causing this problem. Thanks
