I want to use the cox web mail as my primary server, but am wondering if I have to sign in to cox with address and password every time I want to check my mail? I am accustomed to just tapping on an icon on my desktop an bam my email page is open. Is there a way to do this? Or if not does anyone know what email account would allow me to do so. I am using widows 7. I have been using windows live mail, but it has become very slow to operate and nothing I do seems to fix it. I have read of horror stories of those who have deleted and re installed wlm with no success. Any Ideas?

If you don't mind saving a password in your web browser you can go to Cox and make a bookmark. If you save the password and choose remember my username on the page, you can simply click the bookmark, then click sign in.
It's very unsafe to store a password in a URL (such as a direct login from a shortcut on your desktop), most any website would never do this any more. Maybe they were in oh...1995..I had a couple sites I could do that with. Not any more and very ill-advised practice.
Might want to consider installing Thunderbird email client, Windows Live Mail is about the bottom of the barrel.

I agree, email program like Thunderbird might help simply the process. And if it's slow too, then you know its a PC issue and not a program issue. How is it slow exactly? Opening it up? Getting email? Moving from folder to folder?
