dvr error 2.1.2.2

When I try to play a recorded show I get the error 2.1.2.2 and a message to call Cox Customer Service.  Yeah right.  Anyone know what this error is telling me ?  Thanks

This message usually indicates a communication problem between the client and host box.  Do you see this with all boxes in your home?  I'd suggest also checking all of your connections to ensure they are hand tight then try disconnecting power to box the host and client boxes for two minutes and reconnecting to see if a full reset helps.

I got one of my client boxes working by checking the connections.  One client still not working.  Will try disconnecting power on the host and client today.  Thanks

Hi hoytville, loose connections can cause a host of problems. I'm glad to hear you checked them. Similarly, a power reset can help resolve issues with the cable boxes.
