Doubled Speeds for Hampton Roads?
I am a Hampton Roads (Southside) customer and earlier today I pressed the reset button for about 15 seconds on the back of my Cisco DPQ3212 modem and watched it reset. However, my download speed is still only about 25 Mbps.

Are you connected direct to the DPQ3212 or using a router?
Also, what plan do you have? Preferred?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have the Preferred Plan and I am connected to the modem via a Linksys WRT54GL router that was power cycled.

I would say 50Mbps is just at the Cap of what that router can handle, even wired. See review here. I would try a wired connection from PC to DPQ3212 then reboot the DPQ3212 again and test your speed.

Thanks Health Edge. With the PC plugged directly into the modem, the speed doubled. Looks like it's time to shop for another router. The router would not budge even though I'm running the latest firmware from Linksys. I never bothered to run other OS's that were available. Thank you again for your invaluable feedback and advice.
