Dodger Baseball
When is Cox going to wake up and starting televising the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball?
It is bad enough that we in the Las Vegas Valley are blacked out of the Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants, two of the best teams in baseball, but now we can't watch most of the Dodger games! This is unacceptable. This summer when I move I will seriously consider having DirecTV instead of Cox. I realize that I still will not get Dodger games, but it is a matter of principle. At least I will be able to get the NFL Sunday Ticket.

The logic of the above escapes me. Since "A" doesn't carry "program X", I'll switch to "B" which doesn't carry "program X", either. OK...
[BTW, Oakland has the 4th best record in MLB, and SF the 6th best, a whopping 1/2 game better than the LADs.]

You probably don't want to put your account number up on a public forum. Could be used by anyone to possibly get info about your account.
As for Dodgers, this news story is pretty old by now. Blame Time Warner. 2.76$ per year per Sub is a heft chunk of change for a channel that probably gets relatively low watching.

Cox wants every sports fan to enjoy their favorite games at home. We are willing to carry SportsNet LA on a sports tier so that those customers who want to watch it are able to do so, without burdening those who don’t want it. So far, the Dodgers will not allow us to do that. They are willing to deny fans the games they love unless everyone pays.
Please know that we submit all channel requests to our programming managers. We listen to what our customers want to watch and do our best to negotiate with the content owners on behalf of our customers. I promise we will let you know as soon as we receive any updates regarding TWC SportsNet LA!

2.76$ per year per Sub ?? It's closer to $4 per month ($48 per year) per subscriber. But the killer is TWC's insistence of carriage on basic or expanded basic, not on a sports tier.

Ok then 4$ per year per sub. I stand corrected I read a article somewhere else that quoted a different price and explained some of the subtleties, but I can't find it now. There are THAT many articles on this issue. I think the LA Time put it best:
"As usual, money is the root of all goodness, and the prime reason for this standoff. The bizarre trade-offs are not lost on fans. In order to assemble the highest payroll in history, the Dodgers needed to grab at the $8.3-billion Time Warner Cable waved around. That it might've been fool's gold didn't seem apparent at the time."
