Digital Cable extra TVs
Hello,
Currently I have Cox Essential TV, an analog cable signal, no cable boxes with an older generation Tivo hooked to one TV. I have several other TVs with no box, just hooked straight to the wall
I have just purchased the latest Tivo only to realize that it does not have an analog reciever. It requires digital cable signal + cable card. I really don't want to have to return it, I believe that I would prefer it over a Cox DBR for various reasons.
Anyway, if I go to Digital Economy or Cox Advanced with a cable card for the Tivo, will I need boxes for the other rooms or can I still recieve basic TV straight from the wall?

Very few of the current Cox STBs have analog tuners. Because of this, Cox also transmits all of the analog channels as digital signals. The digital only tuners in the STBs pick up and tune these digital signals, and the TV tunes the analog channels. As long as your TiVo has a CableCARD, it will tune the digital signals as well.
