Data Usage and Internet Back ups

Hello,

Internet Service: Premier

Question: I would like to back up my data on the internet just in case of hard drive failures and the such, however, the data usage is limited to 300GB a month. Is that strictly download, upload, or combined? I would like to upload ~500GBs.

I use online backup myself and it has saved me a few times so I know where you're coming from.  To make things simple the data allowances are based on combined upload and download traffic.  Something I do that helps in situations such as yours is throttle back the upload speed so that you don't reach your allowance.  This may work for you too depending on what you're backing up.
