Cox online backup
I got cox online backup working.
I am now backing up a folder
My problem is I cannot change the settings.
I get to the settings screen and change the backup schedule from hourly (this was somehow set on the install I think) to daily. I do the change hit apply but the change is not made.
any ideas.

I've never heard of anything quite like that happening with it before. The fastest way to get help with Online Backup is to reach out to their support at 800-923-7580.

The problem is that one can not change the settings to change (at least) how often the software backsup. So, it backs up EVERY freakin hour.
The company that writes this software was made aware of this problem by me when Cox support couldn't figure it out.
Problem was opened on April 16 2012 Ticket number 65855. It was fixed by the company within about a week and sent to Cox because the actual developer form the company (I can't remember the company name right now) called me back. Several weeks later, I called him back because Cox had not changed to version. He could note explain their inaction.
They made a fix to the software and sent it to Cox. Cox has YET to release the updated version that fixes this problem on Windows 7 (at least Windows 7 both Pro 32 and Pro 64). Apparently, it's only with Windows 7.
I have tested it on two systems. Same problem. Error is with Version 5.1.12.5
This is the same version I downloaded and tested again today on a different Win7 Pro (32) system.
Cox... RELEASE THE UPDATED VERSION!!
It's only been almost two (2) MONTHS now.
Hmm.. maybe flood there support line with support questions and they will do it.

I have followed those steps and my version is 5.1.12.5 and no updates are available; yet I also have this problem and it is quite irritating that I cannot change it to only backup once a day.

I agree wholeheartedly! I just recently downloaded the Online Backup and am tired of it CONSTANTLY backing up every hour. I have tried numerous times to change ANY settings, but NONE CHANGE!
Looks like I might be doing away with yet another Cox product. Already dumped Phone AND Cable. You'd think as big of entity as Cox is, they'd react quicker to us pleebs.

I am having the same problem, my computer keeps backing up every hour & the settings screen will not apply my changes to once a week. I have Windows XP......is there a update for Windows XP yet to fix this? Any solutions would be appreciated.
