Contour Recording Issue

Got a question, for some reason shows are starting to record 4 minutes late. Its random shows at random times. Sometimes the same shows that record 4 minutes late one day won't the next. Has anyone had this issue and know how to resolve this. I don't want to call tech support because ill get the canned "unplug for 1 min"... then "well we will send a tech out" and of course the tech won't know and will want to replace my box.....

Any ideas?!
