Computer/Networking Club?

Not sure if its Ok to post these kind of things here, so I thought the easiest way to find out was just try. Basically I am looking for some kind of Geeky club, something related to Computer repair, or networking or the like, in the New England Area. I have tried looking online, but not surprisingly, all I can find is online clubs. Anyone know of anything or want to start anything?

Please feel free to reply with Ideas and/or thoughts.

Well looks like this is just a forum people go to complain and get problems fixed. Very little socializing. Too bad. So I think I am going to drop this forum. I don't like when people post problems but don't try to help others with their problems. Its selfish. ::salute:: Good luck Cox.

Bahh, who am I kidding. I still find myself checking this forum. It may not have alot of users who are helping, but at least it has some good question askers. I wish people stuck around a bit more after getting their answers. This place would probably be better off with a sense of community, because then it wouldn't seem so much like "Customer vs Cox" that you get when people come to forums still emotional from the frustration of troubleshooting. Are Moderator even allowed to socialize with customers here? It may help for people to see you as...well people. Ya know?

I can't say a whole lot right now, but we're working on it.  The main purpose is always going to be problem-solving, but we're looking at a lot of different ways to make the forum more "social."

Yeaaa. That would explain the increase in Mods I have seen last couple of weeks. Its certainly has potential. Don't need to write HTML tags, I like the Kudo system, nice lay out, and I like that you guys have access to user details via the username. Thats a huge plus over other 3rd party forums.

While were on the subject, do you mind me posting so much? I feel like people might think I am a attention hog, but really Im just a big nerd that likes to help. I try to keep my head down and show the Mods respect. Its kind of awkward though, because the only other regular posters as of now..are Mods. Thanks for the Reply BTW. I know how it can be difficult to talk about some things and still keep your required level of professionalism.
