Cisco 9865 - how can I dim the front display?
The blue display on the front of my new Cisco 9865 is too bright; it lights up the bedroom when I turn off the TV. Is there any way to dim the display?

No, but you can have the display turn off when your DVR is turned off:
SETTINGS->RECEIVERS->POWER MANAGER->FRONT PANEL STATUS->ON WITH RECEIVER
