Channel locked
After watching and taping a program on CNN, we suddenly cannot change channels, access the guide or On Demand functions. I changed remote batteries but that is not the issue. The remote still controls the volume, tv input, DVD etc..The cable button and related buttons light up but no action is performed when pressed. The channel won't change.

Perhaps the box is frozen. Try disco/reconnecting the power cord for 10 seconds?
Also make sure nothing could be interfering with the signal between the controller and the cable box.
