can not sign in to COX Cloud drive

Is there a problem with the desktop application used to access the cloud drive?

The desktop application will not accept my user name and password.  I called into tech support and we reset my password and it still does not work.  I also tried using an different PC and and the desktop application gives me the same error message ":please enter a valid user name and password".

Thank you,

I believe it has to be the primary username. To check if your username is the primary (account holder) go to http://myaccount.cox.net/internettools/email/email.cox and see if your email is the first on the list.

Next, try signing in direct via drive.cox.com and use the same user/password. If it doesn't work there you know its a password/account issue of some kind, and not a issue with the application.

I checked and my email is first on the list.  It is the only email address displayed.

I am able to log directly into:

https://drive.cox.com/application/Secure/Home/Default.aspx

The desktop application will not accept the same username and password.

Thank you,

Do you happen to be using a Mac? I think there were some known problems with the newest OSX.

Also, make sure you're just entering your username, NOT your email. So if your email was monroe@cox.net you would just put monroe. drive.cox.com work with either (since going through Cox login) while the application does not.

I am not using a Mac.  I have Windows PCs I am trying to use the desktop application with.  The application used to work for a long time then recently stopped working. To troubleshoot I installed the application on another Windows PC and I receive the same error.

I am using my username and not my email address.

When I called into tech support on 2/4 I was informed they had to escalate the problem.  I have not heard back from them yet.

Thank you,

So its not a PC issue.  That only leaves something wrong with how your account is set up in Cox's system.

That sounds smart. If things don't seem to be moving, post the ticket number here and one of the moderators can check it out.

I am having the exact same problem and have yet to get any help from Cox on it.  If it starts working, please share.
