Can I keep email address?

Can I keep my email address? The current account is in my name. However, I am not the homeowner. Am moving to a house where owner has Cox service. I would like to find out if I am able to transfer my email address to the new house when I move. Or do I loose that email address. Also the current homeowner wants to transfer the current Cox account into her name. I would pay the balance of what is owed prior. Is this person able to keep their email address account as well? She has contacts and emails that are important to her and this would be a major interruption in her life.
