Can I have mini boxes only?

Now that I have a mini box, I realize we really don't need to spend the extra money just to have the rarely-used on demand features. We only have Advanced TV and don't subscribe to any extra tiers. Can I swap the Advanced box for another mini and save a few bucks a month? I'd only have two mini boxes then.
