Every time you replace my phone modem there is always a difficulty in my caller id showing on my tv. I have all the services, tv,internet and phone. I had my modem replaced last wek and there is still no display on tv. usually the problem is in the Atlanta Ga Office, I can get no one to work the problem properly.

Ask them to "remove and re-add the cable occurrence to the box". Basically when they add or subtract a phone modem from the account, they are removing and re-adding the telephone services to the Cox computer system for your account. This is why if you have voicemail, that resets as well. By default, TV caller ID is not part of those services loaded. However, if they remove and re-add the cable box in the same way as the phone modem, it adds the TV caller ID codes back to the phone system.

They have done this numerous times. I have distinctive ring and a different number for my fax. The Fax number is showing up on my tv phone tools instead of my home number. They don't seem to know what they are doing. This has happened every time they change my phone modem. It looks like they could learn from their mistakes! All they do is to send out a tech to check the problem, when actually the problem is in the switching.

Hello Papa4d1,
Please power cycle the cable boxes. If that does not fix the issue, send us an email with your full address to cox.help@cox.com so we can further assist you.
Thanks,

Interesting. Thats probably playing a role some how but not sure how. Sounds like a provisioning issue, so the moderator is right to ask them to contact you. They will need account (personal) specific info. But let us (forum) know how it goes.

I can completely understand how this ongoing issue can be frustrating. I assure you we want your services to work and to help. In order for us to be able to investigate and resolve this problem, we would need some account details. Please send us an email to cox.help@cox.com with your full service address and the four digit Cox PIN.

Since you 'updated' my modem the caller id does not show on the tv screen. Why? How does one correct that issue? It was intermittent before the 'update' now it is non-existent.
