Arris SB6190 puma chip Issue

Hello,

I have just had to remove my arris sb6190 and put my previous sb 6180 back in service because of all the latency issues with the SB 6190.  I spoke today, April, 26, 2017, with Arris.  They told me that a firmware update has been given to cable providers to test and then roll out to customers.

My questions  are;

1.  Does Cox have the latest update, or when do you expect it?

2.  How long should it take to test and start rolling out.  Bear in mind my SB6190 in no longer on line, I would put it back on after the new firmware starts rolling out.

3.  I purchased the SB6190 retail.  Does that make a difference for getting the firmware update that I understand can only come from Cox?
