Adding a Hard Drive
I have a SA Explorer 8300HD DVR and would like to add an eSATA drive. I am in Oklahoma City which uses the new Rivo software. Is anyone aware of a drive that will work?

Hi Tiffany
Evidently installation is a no-brainer IF you get a compatible device. Also compatibility seems to depend in part on which software you are using. All I want to know is which eSATA drive will work on my machine. If I know it will work I can figure the rest out.

Ron,
A 1TB External eSATA HDD is the Maximum size Rovi Passport Echo will accept.
When I had an SA8240HDC, I used a bare WD Black 1TB with power supply and eSATA to SATA cable. Here was my set-up.
