23mbps with Premier (100mbps) package??!
I have the premier package of about 100 mbps. When I am directly connected, I get about 107mbps. On my wifi I only get about 25-30mbps with the built in router/wifi they provide! Does anyone have any experience with this situation and/or provide a suggestion for an alternate wireless router? It's frustrating when I pay for a faster internet speed and Netflix, etc. are always buffering! Thanks

Wireless speeds can be affected by a number of different things out of Cox's control:
Other wireless networks in the area, a microwave in your home, the distance between your wireless computer and the router, the walls between router and computer, wifi adapter on your laptop.
Equipment makes a huge difference as well; the Gateways that ISP's provide are sub-par compared to a separate modem and router. Me for example, I have the Ultimate 150 Mb speed and my Wifi gets 100+ Mbps on the 2.4Ghz wifi and 150+ Mbps on the 5Ghz wifi.
I use a Motorola SB6141 modem and Netgear Nighthawk R7000 wireless-AC router though.

What are you using to test your speeds? If you are using a "g" device you will only get those speeds. You need an "n" connection to receive faster wireless speeds. Also, AFAIK, the 3000Dv2 is a single band device operating at 2.4GHz. Changing channels my help, try 1,6,11 and pick the best. The hardware Chris_c21 suggested is very good but can be kind of pricey.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend my same equipment setup unless you had plans to ever upgrade to the 150 Mbps or Gigabit speeds... However, if you do ever want to go the separate modem/router way, I'd definitely recommend the Motorola SB6121 and an Asus RT-N66U, you can pick them up for much less than my equipment costs and you should have no issues with wireless speed or range.
