Cox Upload Speeds and Amazon Device Delays

    Can you post a link to your speed test? Also, what are your signal levels? To see them go to 192.168.0.1 > User:admin password:password(unless changed) > Connection > Cox network. Looking for the downstream and upstream power levels. You can either upload a screenshot to Imgur or see here how to post pictures. Overall your downstream should be +5 to -5dB with a SNR above 35. Your upstream should be below 50dB.

Those signal levels look good, although it looks like you only have 5 upload channels. The norm these days is 8. Do you happen to be in Florida or Louisiana?

I would call Cox and see if they can ping your modem/gateway and look for packet loss. If they do, I suggest they send a technician out.  Also, see here to check for outages/problems in your area.

Okay, thank you. There is of course an outage happeing now too so service is even more unreliable, but I was having issues 4 days ago, so i'm not sure it is related to current outage. Anyway, now I have to wait until current wide area issue is resolved before they will send out a tech.  Thanks for your help though.
