Ethernet Connectivity
We have Cox Contour with 2 ethernet connections. One ethernet connection drops in and out frequently. Why?

What do you mean by "drops in and out"? Does your computer say "Media unplugged" or something simular? If so, have you tried replacing that ethernet port? If so, does the problem always effect the same port? If yes, and all else fails, try swapping the Panoramic(what you call Contour?) gateway out at a Cox store. The newest ones have more(4) ethernet ports. The exact model may differer but should be white.
