How do you get rid of the voice that tells you what the volume is among other things? I have gone to settings and turned it off but it still keeps talking.

Reboot the Contour receiver. If the issue persists, cycle Voice Guidance On and Off.

Try using the tv's remote, if you still get a voice saying volume up/down when using the TV's remote, make sure you check the TV settings for some kind of voice response.

Contour Voice Guidance also doesn't announce changes in volume. Contour Voice Guidance only reads the text on its menu screens. Lots of TV sets nowadays also have voice but its weird how this feature is enabling itself.
