Sound Issues with Contour 2 and new LG TV
My Contour 2 box is connected to my new LG Oled TV with an HDMI cable for sound and picture. When I use Expert Mode or 5.1 Surround Sound under Audio Settings on my Contour 2 box my TV drops sound and has terrible lip sync issues. If I use the Stereo setting on the Contour box I have no sound issues whatsoever.
Is this normal? I would like to use the higher quality audio settings if possible.

Do you have a surround sound system hooked up to your TV or just using the built in speakers on your TV? If you are using the built in speaks, have you checked the settings for you TV to make sure that it is setup for surround sound. Most TVs only have two speaks & may not be able to produce 5.1 sound.
